Changing SBC employers. Insurance plans can transfer directly among SBC employers (and even some non-SBC employers), so you don’t have to reapply each time you change ministries. Additionally, if you have a gap between employment with SBC employers, health and dental plans can continue for up to 12 months, so you have the coverage you need.* Continuing to save for retirement is simple. If you are transferring between SBC organizations who offer GuideStone retirement plans, simply stop by the office of the person responsible for benefits to sign up. If you are transferring between SBC churches, contact GuideStone to update your billing. |
| Rollovers from an employer not affiliated with GuideStone. Now that you are eligible for a GuideStone retirement plan, enjoy the simplicity of consolidation. You can roll over your retirement account with your previous employer(s) into your new GuideStone retirement plan. You are also eligible to invest in a Personal Investment Account for more immediate goals. |

Moving to an employer not affiliated with GuideStone. If your new employer doesn’t partner with GuideStone, we’re still here to partner with you. Even though you’re no longer eligible to contribute, your retirement account can remain at GuideStone with access to the same investment options. You can also continue to invest toward retirement through a RightChoice IRA™ or invest in a Personal Investment Account for more immediate goals. Life and accident plans can convert into a personal policy, which you can keep for the rest of your life. Even health and dental plans can continue for up to 18 months after you leave employment.* |
