After years of running a successful business, Larry Fackler surrendered to full-time ministry, a decision that led to more than three decades of faithful service across the Pacific Northwest, Missouri and Texas.
Throughout their 34-years of service, Larry and his wife Mary Ann served churches of all sizes. They ministered to an Air Force base in Mountain Home, Idaho, and planted a Korean church nearby. In Utah, they rescued a financially troubled congregation. As Director of Missions, Larry became “a pastor’s pastor” to 31 churches, leading conferences and revivals while helping struggling congregations establish firm foundations.
God blessed the Facklers with two sons with special needs, Tim and Caleb, which opened unique ministry opportunities. Larry now serves on Missouri’s sheltered workshop board, where workers with disabilities produced over 3 million pieces last year. “It has been rewarding to minister to others who also have special needs children,” he reflects.
However, when Mary Ann battled cancer, medical bills depleted their retirement savings. Having opted out of Social Security after ordination, Larry faced an uncertain future. That’s when a seminary friend recommended Mission:Dignity®.
Today, at 77, Larry continues supply preaching while caring for his adult sons, both believers who regularly share the Gospel with shoppers at Walmart. “God has blessed us through Mission:Dignity”,” Larry says. “God always comes through.”
