GuideStone Investment Services® — Exclusively Serving Faith-based, Nonprofit Organizations

In Psalm 78:72, the psalmist provides a beautiful articulation of the call that God placed on King David’s life many years ago:

So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

GuideStone Investment Services (GSIS) has adopted this same call to represent its mission. It serves as a constant reminder of our Kingdom-focused approach when managing operating reserves, endowment and foundation resources in partnership with our ministry clients.

1. We share your Christian heritage and heart for ministry.

For more than 100 years, our parent organization — GuideStone® — has sought to “serve those who serve the Lord,” and this ministry focus remains at the heart of everything GSIS does. In fact, our unique asset management approach considers not just the investment needs of each client but the ministry needs, as well. This dual focus sets us apart from other service providers and fosters deeper relationships built upon shared values and an understanding of each client’s overarching mission.

2. We recognize the challenges facing Christian ministries today.

GSIS' experienced team of investment professionals works closely with each client to understand the structure of their current portfolio, the long-term goals of the ministry and the decision-making dynamics of the organization. We also partner with each client to design an effective Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and create appropriate reporting for the organization’s staff and any committees or trustee boards. Through the use of affiliated mutual funds, along with third-party alternative investments and other complementary investment solutions, we are able to develop and implement a customized investment strategy — in alignment with your IPS — that is designed specifically for the unique needs of your ministry.

3. We abide by the same fiduciary duties as our clients.

As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization itself, GSIS is intimately familiar with the challenging requirements of managing institutional assets. We provide a range of investment advisory services to meet the specific investment objectives of each client — from partial to complete discretionary management, and from manager research and consulting to a fully outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) arrangement.
