Organizing Retirement Plan Documentation

The first step in fulfilling your fiduciary obligations is to organize your retirement plan documents. Collect your policies and procedures as well as retirement plan documents and store them in a safe, easily accessible place. If you’re unsure where to start, you can always access your plan documents under the “Document Center” tab in the GuideStone Employer Access® Program (EAP).

Developing an Investment Policy Statement

A key component of fiduciary responsibilities includes assessing the investment menu provided in the retirement plan. It is considered best practice for an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) to be created and maintained. In addition to a comprehensive IPS Development Toolkit, we also provide a Sample IPS Outline for 403(b)(9) Church Plans.
