Additional benefits that come with your Life and Accident Plan
Life Planning Financial & Legal Resources — This objective and personalized professional service includes financial and legal support to employees’ survivors in the event of their death or the diagnosis of a terminal illness.
Assist America — A 24-hour network of emergency medical and legal resources offering worldwide emergency assistance to active employees and their families who are traveling.
Accelerated Death Benefit — Allows terminally ill participants with a life expectancy of 12 months or less to receive up to 50% of the death benefit ($250,000 maximum) prior to death. Contact GuideStone for details.
Portability or Conversion of Coverage — You and your dependents can continue coverage by converting to a policy directly through Unum if you leave your employer or otherwise lose eligibility. Your employer can provide the forms you'll need to complete the conversion.
Add Children Without Underwriting — No underwriting is required to add a dependent child within 60 days of the child's birth, adoption or placement for adoption.
Education Benefit for Surviving Children — For qualified dependents, your GuideStone AD&D coverage includes an additional education benefit of 6% of the full amount of the AD&D benefit, up to $6,000 a year for up to four years. Your plan booklet provides requirements and details about this benefit.
